Columbia Gas of Massachusetts recently received information regarding an imposter claiming to be an employee of Columbia Gas in an attempt to enter homes. All residents should be aware that Columbia Gas employees carry identification, drive Columbia Gas of Massachusetts identified vehicles, and their service call can be verified by calling the Customer Service line at 800-882-5454.
If you are approached by someone claiming to be a Columbia Gas employee, please request to see their identification and note that they are driving a Columbia Gas vehicle. For further verification we invite you to call the Customer Service line.
Customers are asked to report suspicious activity to the local Police Department and call Columbia Gas to report the incident.
