The Good Neighbor Energy Fund

The Good Neighbor Energy Fund is available to any Massachusetts resident who, because of temporary financial difficulty, cannot meet a month's energy expense and is not eligible for state or federal energy assistance. Income for either the prior 12 months or the past month (times 12 months for a total annual figure) must fall between 60 and 80 percent of the state's median income levels. The fund opens each year on December 1 to assist applicants with an emergency request for assistance and on January 1 for all other requests.

Make a tax-deductible donation!

Please "Give the Gift of Warmth" by using the mint green donation envelopes that are included with your Columbia Gas bills each winter. You can also contribute by donating online via The Good Neighbor Energy Fund website!  Of course, you can also send a check payable to "Good Neighbor Energy Fund" c/o of The Salvation Army, 25 Shawmut Rd., Canton, MA 02021-1408. Your tax deductible donation goes straight to the Fund and your contribution assists a Massachusetts family with the payment of a month's energy expense. Your gift will be warmly appreciated.
