Giving Back

Columbia Gas of Massachusetts' corporate giving program strives to meet community needs within the cities and towns it serves. Columbia Gas of Massachusetts strives to give back to the very communities that have contributed to its success by targeting corporate contributions to five key areas:

  • Human services
  • Education
  • Arts & culture
  • Community support
  • Environment

The company also encourages employee volunteerism. Hundreds of Columbia Gas of Massachusetts employees, serving as monthly volunteers at the Lazarus House in Lawrence, Friends of the Homeless in Springfield, and Our Daily Bread in Taunton have served thousands of meals to residents of these homeless shelters while offering a smile, a handshake and a listening ear proving that everyone shares and interest in solving the problem of homelessness.

Employee volunteerism, together with the Columbia Gas of Massachusetts' corporate-giving effort, reflect our commitment to the cities and towns we serve.

Community Involvement

The company is proud to play such an important role within the communities it serves. Employee dedication and active involvement, together with the company's corporate-giving effort, reflect our commitment. These efforts also help us build strong relationships within these same communities.
