CMA presents $15,000 donation to Father Bill’s & MainSpring

Columbia Gas of Massachusetts (CMA) presented a NiSource Charitable Foundation check for $15,000 to Father Bill’s and MainSpring (FBMS) during their 19th Annual Food Fest and Auction, held at the Ocean Club at Marina Bay in Quincy, MA.  Members of CMA’s Brockton Inclusion and Diversity team and fellow CMA employees and family members attended the event, which drew nearly 1,000.  On a warm summer evening at the beautiful Quincy marina, participants enjoyed wonderful entertainment and delicious multi-cultural foods from over 40 Boston area restaurants.  The proceeds from raffles and auction items raised $295,000 to benefit homelessness in Southeastern Massachusetts.

Father Bill’s Place in Quincy and MainSpring Coalition for the Homeless in Brockton merged to become Father Bill’s & MainSpring in 2007.  Each of these organizations worked tirelessly in their communities for over two decades to end homelessness in Southeastern Massachusetts.  Now together, this organization provides emergency shelter, advocacy services and programs such as homelessness prevention, adult education, employment training and health care.  CMA has been a proud supporter of FBMS for over ten years.
